Our Mission: Saving Lives through Hygiene In 2011, we learned that millions of children were dying each year from water-related illnesses that could be prevented with handwashing alone. Driven by this, we founded Hand in Hand with a simple but powerful mission: to provide underserved communities access to soap, clean water, and hygiene education.

Through our BUY ONE, GIVE BACK program, a portion of every purchase directly supports this global initiative. To date, we have donated over 13.8 million bars of soap, 120,000 gallons of clean water, and helped build new water wells in 23 countries.

A Sustainable Approach We choose to make personal care products the right way. If an ingredient is not sustainable, responsibly sourced, or won't feel great on your skin, it doesn't make it into our soaps and lotions. This includes our commitment to being 100% vegan and palm oil-free, protecting rainforests and endangered species.

Our Founders' Story In 2012, our founders Bill and Courtney Apple traveled to Haiti and saw firsthand the impact their give-back model could have. Inspired, they set out to create a better soap that could save lives through improved hygiene.
